Many years ago I started watching the TLC show Clean Sweep – for those who haven’t seen the show, the crew goes into a house overgrown with clutter and helps the owner purge, organize and create a functional space. They take all of the stuff in the house (“treasures”) and make the owner put at least half in a yard sale and donate the rest to charity. I am hooked – I love organizing and cleaning out closets, my parents do not … they suffer from a bit of the pack rat philosophy. Fortunately Elsie and I were able clean out the kitchen junk drawer at Thanksgiving weeding out tools that were either from 1970 or we had no clue what they were for – Elsie was in heaven with all of the “treasures” – but after play time, we packed them up and dropped them at Goodwill!
(all that set up for a few photos!)

I love the family resemblance between Mark and Elsie in that bottom photo. Cute!
